Southern Regional Director of Community Services


The Southern Regional Director of Community Services provides oversight and leadership to County Directors and the Mental Health Manager across Milwaukee, Madison, Janesville, and Beaver Dam. This role ensures consistency in operations, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and alignment with CCLS’s mission and strategic goals. The Southern Regional Director of Community Services acts as a vital connection between executive leadership and field operations, supporting staff, programs, and service expansion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate County Directors and the Mental Health Manager.

  • Support leadership development, succession planning, and recruitment of key staff.

  • Oversee regional operations, compliance, and fiscal accountability.

  • Collaborate with local leadership on staffing, client care, budgets, and audits.

  • Assist with crisis management, complex client cases, and licensing issues.

  • Drive strategic initiatives, program growth, and service expansion opportunities.

  • Participate in statewide leadership meetings.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience working with a DHS 83.02 (16) client group, or completion of a DHS-approved administrator training course.


Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years’ experience supervising multiple sites or management-level staff.

  • Knowledge of Medicaid waiver programs, MCO contracts, and DHS licensing.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and documentation systems.

  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.

  • Must pass required background and abuse/neglect checks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
